NCC Unveils Enhanced Web Site

MEMPHIS - To better serve its members, the National Cotton Council has given its web site - www.cotton.org - a much-needed overhaul. The site includes a new look and new features.

Among those features are:
• Search - to help with finding pages, the web site now can be searched using the search form in the upper right side of each page.
• Printing - to help with printing "cleaner" pages, each page has a 'Format page for printing' option in the upper right above the search form.
To better organize the site, some pages have been moved. Among changes are:
• Quick Links (on the Home Page of the old site) - this is now the section labeled "Industry Resources".
• Members Only - this is now labeled "Member Services". You can browse to that section and login using your same username and password.
• Educational Materials - the order form and information regarding the materials is located under "Publications & Education".

Coinciding with the site redesign is more expedient posting of news and information and increased site visitation, which surged 43 percent in 2000.

"New content management software is enabling more NCC staffers to publish information directly to the site," said Matt Linxwiler, NCC's Webmaster. "This is necessary to meet the needs of the growing number of site users."

He said the site continues to be updated, and feedback from industry members and other site users is welcome. Please send any comments regarding the site to .
