As of Feb. 27, 2004, the HARVEST PARTNERS preferred customer program, a farmer-loyalty program implemented in 1992, will be discontinued, say BASF officials. The program was set up to offer producers credits that they could redeem for merchandise and services. But BASF says the company is returning to its "core competencies" setting reasonable business expectations and responsibly managing costs. Members of the program will
still have an opportunity to redeem any outstanding points; this deadline
