
The Issue
Despite unpredictable weather in parts of Texas, the Mid-South and Southeast, cotton showed its ability to withstand heavy rainfall and cool temperatures during harvest season. Yields were down in the Mid-South, but, as one agronomist put it, “the situation could have been a lot worse.” The crop showed remarkable strength in the face of adversity.
