The Issue
The cotton fleahopper sometimes doesn’t receive the respect it deserves across the Cotton Belt. But it continues to be the major cotton insect pest in Texas. Even though the boll weevil has been eradicated, the fleahopper remains a serious pest that attacks cotton early in the season. Left unchecked, it can cause serious damage.
