The Issue
Managing for earliness is a strategy for planting cotton early and then applying effective strategies that can lead to a possible harvest in August. Mississippi Delta producer Justin Cariker has had some success in employing this approach in 2012, and he intends to increase his “early” acreage as he looks ahead to the 2013 season.
