Overton Hotel Will Again Serve As TCGA Headquarters

  print email

The Overton Hotel and Conference Center in Lubbock is rapidly becoming a favorite destination for attendees each year at the Texas Cotton Ginners’ Association’s Annual Meeting and Trade Show.

For the fourth straight year, the hotel will be the official headquarters for all TCGA meetings. The Trade Show will continue to be conducted at the Lubbock Civic Center.

It’s easy to see why the hotel is so popular with attendees to the TCGA Annual Meeting. It is an upscale hotel with numerous in-room amenities, such as high speed Internet, workspaces, flat screen televisions and concierge service.

The hotel also has enough meeting space to handle any kind of event.

The location of the Overton Hotel is another plus. It is on the Texas Tech University campus next to Jones AT&T Stadium and is only a five-minute drive to the Civic Center. It’s also only a 10-minute drive to the Lubbock Airport.

The hotel was an immediate hit with Texas Tech football fans when it opened several years ago. They liked the convenience of spending the night at a hotel so close to the stadium. That’s how attendees at the TCGA Annual Meeting and Trade Show have reacted.

The hotel also has been the site of numerous cotton industry events, including meetings of the American Cotton Producers and National Cotton Council. Earlier this year, Deltapine and Monsanto hosted a Water/Weed Summit that attracted 150 persons at the Overton.

As if these weren’t enough events to be hosted at the hotel, the Overton has proven to be attractive for corporate events, weddings, university groups and visitors to Lubbock.

No matter what brings a person or group to the city, the Overton – complete with a trendy modern design, upscale restaurant and custom ballroom and meeting space – has proven to be the ideal destination.

The hotel offers special rates and packages for groups, events and families. Stay the weekend and enjoy a luxurious room on the preferred level, ready with a delicious fruit and cheese tray and Saturday breakfast or Sunday brunch in the Pecan Grill.

Preferred Level guests enjoy 24-hour access to the club lounge, complimentary coffee and danish in the morning and happy hour in the evening, as well as evening turndown service and private access to club levels.

For more information about room rates at the Overton Hotel, interested parties can call toll free at (800) 776-7001 or go online at http://www.overtonhotel.com.

Special rates for the TCGA Annual Meeting are available but room space is limited.
