KLBK meteorologist Jacob Riley will provide a seasonal weather report to the advisory group as we look toward harvest 2023.
Jacob graduated from Mississippi State University in May of 2020, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Professional Meteorology with an emphasis in Broadcasting. Pre-graduation, while working toward achieving his degree, Jacob worked as a part-time meteorologist at WCBI News in Columbus, Mississippi.
Since moving over from KAMC, Jacob currently serves as Chief Meteorologist at KLBK News in Lubbock, Texas. Jacob received 1st runner up for best collegiate weathercast in the 2018 Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters Contest. Jacob has also been recognized as a finalist for Lubbock’s Top 20 under 40 individuals. Jacob also received a first place award from the Associated Press, along with his coworkers, for their “Thunder and Ice” severe weather special.
When Jacob is not tracking the wild weather across the South Plains, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and three daughters Allie, Sutton and Jenna!
