The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension has taken cotton scouting virtual with its Zoom-based cotton scouting school, June 4, at 8:30 a.m. CDT. It will last for about two hours.
Extension specialists will cover scouting and management for insect and disease pests, cotton growth and development, and basic pesticide safety. A live question and answer session with Extension specialists will also be a part of the program.
The training will serve as an introduction to insect monitoring for new scouts and as a review for experienced scouts and producers. This webinar meets the requirements for continuing education course units for certified crop advisers.
Participation is free, but registration is required. For more information on using Zoom, email cspinks@uaex.edu or contact your county agent.
